3 Hours of forest exploration at Makiki Valley Loop

3 Hours of forest exploration at Makiki Valley Loop

Makiki Loop Trail was a medium challenge family hike. Lots of roots, muddy parts, rocks, climbing areas and some slippery areas. You will need shoes for this one. There were a lot of people running the Hike and plenty of people with dogs. It was a good lesson for the Keiki about trail etiquette.
It took us about 3 hours to do this hike. It was nice that it had a parking lot, bathroom at the start/bottom, place to wash your shoes and lots of signs everywhere. This trail also leads to many more trails that are connected. We found tons of strawberry guava and Mountain apples. For more pix and videos, see my Instagram post HERE.
